Tax Incremental Districts

Tax Incremental Districts (TIDs) are commonly used by municipalities to encourage economic development, grow the tax base, expand housing choices, and create employment opportunities. In a TID, public investments are made to encourage growth and redevelopment. TIDs finance the public investments by capturing, for a limited time, the increased tax revenue that results when increased private investment is generated. When the projects are paid off, the increment goes back into the general tax revenues.

Tax Incremental Districts (TIDs) are one of the Village’s most powerful tools to spur economic development.

The Village is actively developing one TID.  Please contact realtor Jim Larkin or Village Administrator Christophe Jenkins if you are interested in one of the four remaining parcels!!
